Our electricians will help work out a yearly return when your system is designed. We will take an average over a set amount of time, which gives an estimate of what you could save each year. This is provided before the work is done.

Absolutely! However, this is often controlled through a separate system and is simple to integrate to existing Solar PVs. The two main technologies that can be used are:
- Immersion Diverters – While solar PV systems typically generate electricity to power appliances, they can also be used indirectly for hot water heating through the use of an immersion diverter. This device diverts excess solar energy generation, when your electricity needs are met, to an immersion heater within your hot water storage tank. This immersion heater then uses the diverted electricity to heat the water. Solar PV with immersion diversion is a good option if you already have a solar PV system and are looking for additional ways to maximise your solar energy use.
- Solar Thermal Systems – These systems use solar collectors mounted on your roof to capture the sun’s heat. A heat transfer fluid circulates through the collectors, absorbing the heat. This heated fluid is then transferred to a hot water storage tank, where it warms the water you use for showers, baths, and other domestic hot water needs. Solar thermal systems can be a very efficient and cost-effective way to heat your hot water, especially in regions with good sunlight availability.
Not at all. This is often just the most effective place to put them. The roof is an otherwise unused space so putting the panels there has no impact on your ground space. Your solar panels will also spend longer in direct sunlight on the roof which will increase their efficiency.
If you have the space then they can be installed to the floor.
